Tariff stack estimator

You supply the rates for your own HTS code; this page only does the stacking arithmetic. Nothing is stored and nothing leaves your browser.

The layers stack on the same entry — that is the whole point of ourtariff stack guide. Only the base rate is printed in the schedule; the rest attach by product and origin, and the schedule itself changed twice in the first two months of 2026. This page does arithmetic on rates you verify — it does not know your HTS code and cannot look rates up for you.

What this estimator assumes

  • Your rates are current. Verify each layer against the current HTS edition and your broker before relying on the output — measures have been added, struck down and revised repeatedly this year.
  • Ad valorem only. Some lines carry specific (per-kg, per-unit) or compound duties; this page models percentage duties only.
  • AD/CVD is out of scope. Antidumping and countervailing duties are case-by-case and can be very large — check scope separately with our AD/CVD guide before sourcing.
  • Duty is not the whole landed cost. Freight, brokerage, bonds and inbound fees sit on top — the landed cost guide assembles the full stack, and the margin calculator takes it from there.

Frequently asked

Where do I find the rates for my product?

Your HTS code decides everything. The base rate is in the current HTS edition; Section 301, Section 232 and other measures depend on product scope and origin. Our tariff stack guide walks through where each layer comes from, and a licensed customs broker can confirm your specific entry.

Why is there a marking option?

Under 19 USC 1304, goods not compliantly marked with their country of origin are reported to attract a 10% ad valorem marking duty on top of everything else — and CBP may refuse entry. The toggle shows that exposure explicitly.

Does this cover antidumping or countervailing duties?

No. AD/CVD rates are set case by case per product and country, without a ceiling, and force formal entry. Check scope separately before sourcing — the AD/CVD guide shows how.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. This page is a static file with no server side. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is stored or transmitted.

Is this legal or customs advice?

No. It is arithmetic on rates you supply. Entry decisions, classification and compliance belong with a licensed customs broker.
