Software

What seller software actually costs

Nine tools, priced from published sources with the date each figure was checked. Half of them carry a contested block, because sources dated within months of each other give different numbers for the same plan — usually monthly against annual, sometimes a retired plan that directories never removed.

These are pricing references, not tested reviews. No tool here has been purchased or used by this site. Scored reviews follow the published rubric, are bought at list price, and state the plan tier and month tested. No tool here has paid for inclusion and this site earns no commission from any of them — seehow this site is funded.

Why the prices disagree

Three causes account for nearly all of it. Vendors quote monthly and annual rates from the same headline, and a source that does not state the billing term is unusable. Promotions run and lapse without the published figure being revisited. And software directories carry prices they have not rechecked in years — one listing in this set gives a figure whose own disclaimer dates it to 2019.

The practical rule is the same one that applies to fee schedules elsewhere on this site: a price without a date is a rumor with a decimal point. Every figure here carries the date it was checked, and the vendor's own page is the only current source.

Before you subscribe to anything

Software is a small line in most seller cost structures and it attracts disproportionate attention. The costs that actually decide whether a product works are elsewhere, and no subscription changes them.
